Nancy did a program at a retreat centre where Trungpa Choygam Rinpoche founded the Shamabhala movement in North America twenty years ago. Nancy was welcomed by a heron at the pond. She stayed in a tent to be near the earth, spent extensive time in the garden, and danced at the stupa containing Trungpa’s ashes. When she came home he appeared to her in a vision and told her he is her ancestor. He knows her language.
Shelburne Falls is a town with a wonderful history of community and abundance. Nancy attended a workshop by Tulku Thondup who brought the Medicine Buddha’s teachings to the city of Halifax right after 9/11. Tulku’s presence awakens compassion and deepens our awareness of the effects of energy medicine.
